[ after the trial and everyone goes back to their rooms and all that good stuff, rhys is going to be in his room, sitting in his pajamas on his bed and chewing on his thumbnail. after a moment, he'll call out. ]
Hey, Alice? I want to talk to you for a moment.

I have met so many AIs that are way better than your shoddy programming, Alice.
[ ugh. anyway!! ]
So, about the murders. If say... Person A kills someone, the trial proceeds, Person A is found guilty of it, does Person A always have to die, no matter what? Is it the person that counts or the body?

[ Alice has to ruminate on that for a second. ]
Person A will face retirement if they are caught without fail. I am afraid I misunderstand why you ask, however. Are you suggesting that someone may step in to retire in someone else's place? A Person B, if you will?

Yeah. If... if say Person B offered, beforehand, to step in if Person A was accused of murder -- I guess regardless if they did it or not, if the vote just swayed for them to be retired anyway, could Person A just... have Person B retire for them instead? If it was willing, of course!

No but your subtly routine needs some work. Here's what I want: if Fiona is ever up as a suspect during a trial and wins the majority vote, kill me instead of her. Fiona takes the role of someone who killed and got away with the murder, unable to participate in the game and be killed by other players. She can go home at the end. Can you agree to this?

Okay, then... can you make me a suspect every time Fiona's up for vote? I can do the rest. Would that work with your programming?
